Do you have kittens available?
While we do not have any kittens available at this time, we do have an expectant litter (Catalina & Merlin) which is due at the end of June/beginning of July.

What colors of kittens will you be expecting?
Should all of our intended breeders pass their health testing, etc., we expect to have all colors EXCEPT for solid white. Also, we expect our kittens to have the normal numbers of toes (no polydactyl kittens expected within the next two years).
When you have kittens available, can I come see the kittens prior to adopting?
Due to the need to protect the health of our cats and maintain a clean, disease-free environment, we do not plan to allow visitors or offer tours. We will however offer video meetings (via Zoom or other video platform) with us and our kittens once kittens become available. In-person kitten visits are only reserved for kitten customers who have already paid a deposit to reserve a kitten.
Can I be added to a waitlist?
In short, we have no plan to keep waitlists nor do we plan to accept reservation fees for kittens not yet born.
Once we have kittens available, our goal will be to find the best homes for them, where they will be forever loved and spoiled. Sometimes that’s the first person that expresses an interest and sometimes the very last person. Once a pregnancy is confirmed (via ultrasound) and a litter is expected- we will announce it on our Facebook page, as well as on this website. More adoption process will be added to this website .
Financing options may also be available. Stay tuned for more information!

What tests do you do on your breeding cats/kittens?
Our breeding cats have had;
routine & yearly health exams with our veterinarian, all age appropriate and required vaccinations, DNA testing (for & including; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy [HCM], MDR1 medication sensitivity, and polycystic kidney disease, plus more), and any other medical tests our veterinarian suggests.
Echocardiograms;
Heart problems (primarily hypertrophic cardiomyopathy [HCM]) are more prevalent in Maine Coons than hip dysplasia. On top of genetic testing, each of our cats will have had at around age 1-to screen for indications of heart disease, an echocardiogram or heart ultra sound-preformed by a board certified veterinary cardiologist- and yearly exams while the cat is actively being used in our breeding program.

Radiographic X-ray hip screenings;
To date, the specific cause of feline hip dysplasia has not been identified. Although the condition is widely thought to have a genetic component, since it seems to be more prevalent in certain breeds, other environmental factors, such as rapid growth and obesity, appear to play a causative role in the development of the disability. Due to these facts, we have decided that as long as our cats can be shown to not be genetically predisposed to the condition (their parents are clear of the disease and our cats test clear via DNA genetic testing), are healthy and of the appropriate weight, show no signs or symptoms of possible mobility issues- and as long as they are exhibiting normal behavior- our cats will not be radiographically screened for hip dysplasia until 2 years of age (and will then be screened on a yearly basis while the cat is actively being used in our breeding program).

Our kittens receive (before going home); a minimum of two physical exams, age-appropriate vaccinations and tests-including fecal, and deworming (as needed). Before leaving the cattery, each kitten will also be microchipped.
Note: Due to the potential for scammers to steal important information from documents shared online, each of our breeding cats health tests and health screening results are available upon request. We will also happily provide our veterinarian's contact info.

Will you offer breeding rights?
No, not at this time.
In addition to a purchase contract, all "kitten customers" will be required to sign a spay/neuter "contract", (as an addendum to the purchase contract) prior to each kitten leaving our cattery. Once the new kitten parent has the kitten spayed/neutered within the contractual time-frame and proof is sent to us by the treating veterinarian- the monetary cost of the *spay/neuter will be returned to the customer, along with the kitten's documentation (health records, microchip transfer paperwork, pedigree papers, etc.,).
If, in future and once our line is established, we decide to offer breeding rights, this page will be updated to reflect that.

If I adopt a kitten from you, will you deliver or ship it to me?
Shipping: we do not offer or support "shipping" kittens, regardless of destination.
Pick-up: you can either pick your kitten up in person from our home (by appointment) or we can arrange to meet you at our local airport (John Glenn Columbus International) to hand your kitten over directly to you to ride IN CABIN with you. We do not send kittens home in a cargo scenario!
We can also suggest a pet "nanny" service to you, should you wish to hire an outside person to pick-up and bring your kitten to you. Please contact us if you would like more info on this. Note that the fees for this type of service vary widely and are IN ADDITION to the price of the kitten deposit and purchase cost.
